We looked at many venues and were disappointed by how expensive they were compared to the quality offered. Additionally, the inflexibility of some venues — such as restrictions like wine-only service, mandatory use of the venue’s caterers, and limited menu choices — was frustrating. Looking back, I’m glad we didn’t stretch our budget to book one of those venues, as we wouldn’t have had the same experience, and I don’t think our reception would have been as enjoyable.
